Connecting Minds, Creating Value: Training in Action

IDEX | LouwersHanique Tour

Last August, Semiconductor-focused teams from IDEX gathered in Eindhoven for a three-day workshop to boost collaboration and innovation.

From the start, the energy was high. Everyone came with curiosity, openness, and a clear desire to contribute. The level of engagement throughout the sessions was remarkable, rich discussions, thoughtful questions, and valuable input from all corners of the organization. It was clear that this wasn’t just about learning, it was about building something together.

Throughout the training, we participated in several impactful workshops that helped us align on strategy and strengthen our commercial approach. Sam Kuyoth led sessions on defining our commercial purpose and mapping the customer journey, while Patrick Mason guided us through strategic account planning and the MEDDPICC framework. We also came together for a collaborative brainstorming workshop led by Hans van Diem, where we explored challenging domains and uncovered new opportunities for synergy across our businesses.

The purpose of this collaboration is to bring together our diverse capabilities under one roof, enabling us to learn faster, work more efficiently, and build meaningful connections across teams and technologies. By doing so, we can respond more quickly to market needs and deliver extra value to our semiconductor customers, who benefit from having multiple solutions integrated seamlessly within one ecosystem.

Our visits to LouwersHanique and Millux added another layer of insight, giving us a firsthand look at the precision and innovation that define our work. These experiences sparked new ideas and helped us visualize how our collective strengths can be harnessed to drive real impact.

What stood out most was the shared sense of purpose. The semiconductor collaboration group within IDEX is more than just a strategic initiative , it marks a cultural shift in how companies across IDEX work together to deliver integrated solutions for the semiconductor market. It’s about breaking fostering collaboration, and creating a space where ideas and expertise flow freely. Eindhoven was a clear demonstration of that spirit, and it left us not only inspired but also aligned and ready to move forward.

With all the input we received and the momentum we’ve built, we’re already looking forward to the next meeting. There’s a lot more to explore, and even more to achieve together.

Companies that participated in the training included CVI Laser Optics, CVI Infrared Optics, Advanced Thin Films, Rochester, Iridian, STC Material Solutions, LouwersHanique, and Millux, , each bringing unique expertise and perspectives that are essential to the success of this initiative.
